Wide style Agate Basin is 1 9/16” by 5 5/16” and was probably found in Missouri or Illinois. Burlington chert. Some staining on base suggests this may have been in a fire. $1,000.

Highly desirable Perkiomen of red jasper was collected in the 1940s. 2 5/16” by 1 3/8.” Thin and well made, with the off-center stem placement so common (and desirable) in this type. First red Perky I’ve owned in a decade. No provenience. Ex-A.D. Capehart. $275.

Reworked Clovis of light gray Crowley’s Ridge flint is 2 ¼.” Narrow one inch flute on one side; shallow double flutes on the other. Found on the same bluff as No. 15, in Hill County, TX. Laterals and base are ground smooth. $750.

Classic Meserve of dark gray Edwards has one white ear. 2 3/8.” Alternately beveled blade edges. Fine point found by Steve Daniels in a ,peanut field five miles south of Hillsboro, TX, in Hill County.

Steeply beveled and serrated Darl of yellow Crowley’s Ridge flint is 2 ½.” Small stack on one bevel. Found by Steve Daniels as above. $85.

This gray glossy flint Lost Lake (KY949) is 2 5/8” and was found near Albany, KY. A Perino COA for Jasper Bailey dated 8/4/94 says it was formerly collected by Ray Jarrell. I purchased it from Mike McCoy, along with the above Lost Lake. The gray flint in this example is flecked with blue and has some brown mottling. $450.

Dark reddish brown Clay is 2 7/16” and was found in Baker Co., GA. Coastal Plains, semi-translucent “candy” that is heavily patinated. Blade is a bit bowed. Another rare Deep South type. $225

Mottled gray Tallahassee is 3 ½” and comes with a Carlos Tatum COA, #4484. Tiny nick in basal concavity. Tatum’s COA says the point was found by Winston Parker while collecting on private property in Levy County, FL. He grades it a 9.8. $1,000.

This white quartzite Yadkin turned up at a gun and knife show in Anderson, S.C., in January. The owner said he found this 3 ¼” point on clear cut land on Russell’s Creek in McCormick Co., SC. $1,500. This is the largest perfect Yadkin I have ever owned. Translucent.

White Clovis of Ocala chert has nice fluting on both sides and is very thin in cross-section. 2 5/8.” Marion Co., FL. Ding on one side of the blade, where a shovel struck this 14,000-year-old point. Currently the chip is partly filled in with wax, but if I were keeping it, I would have it professionally restored because it is FINE. $465.

Southern Hardin points are much rarer than their northern cousins and seldom exceed 3.” This is large and thin and was found on a construction site in Ocala, FL, on Easter Sunday in the mid 1990s. 3 ¾.” $2,800.
